Who can participate?

Individuals with an experience of severe and enduring anorexia nervosa, as well as individuals with no history of an eating disorder (control condition).

What is involved?

This study involves completing a series of demographic questions, neuropsychological tests and questionnaires. Your height and weight will also be recorded.

 

What is the eligibility criteria for participating?

Anorexia Nervosa Participants:

  • Age of 18 years and older

  • Meet the DSM-V criteria for Anorexia Nervosa

  • Have experienced Anorexia Nervosa for a period of 7 or more years.

Control Participants:

  • Age of 18 years and older

  • No current or previous eating disorder.

​What are the benefits of participating?

By participating, you will be contributing towards research investigating the neuropsychological profile of individuals experiencing SE -AN, therefore increasing our understanding of this form of the illness.

 

What are the costs of participating?

There are no costs and your participation will be kept confidential.

 

Who is conducting this research?

This research is being conducted by a team of researchers at the University of Sydney and the Regional Department for Eating Disorders at Oslo University Hospital, Ullevål.

 

Who has approved this research?

This research has been approved by the HREC at the University of Sydney.
